Description

Echelon SmartServer 2.2 with i.LON Vision 2.2 stores cleartext credentials in a file, which could allow an attacker to obtain cleartext usernames and passwords of the SmartServer. If the attacker obtains the file, then the credentials could be used to control the web user interface and file transfer protocol (FTP) server.

This issue can be reached with local access to the system, attack complexity is low, an attacker needs administrative privileges on the target. No user interaction is required. The scope is unchanged, so the impact stays within the vulnerable component. Rated impact: confidentiality high, integrity low, availability high.
