Description

A vulnerability exists in Advantech iView in

NetworkServlet.processImportRequest() that could allow for a directory

traversal attack. This issue requires an authenticated attacker with at

least user-level privileges. A specific parameter is not properly

sanitized or normalized, potentially allowing an attacker to determine

the existence of arbitrary files on the server.

How this vulnerability can be exploited

This issue can be reached over the network, attack complexity is low, an attacker needs low-level privileges on the target. No user interaction is required. The scope is unchanged, so the impact stays within the vulnerable component. Rated impact: confidentiality low, integrity none, availability none.
