Description

Entrust nShield Connect XC, nShield 5c, and nShield HSMi through 13.6.11, or 13.7, allow a physically proximate attacker with root access to modify the Recovery Partition (because of a lack of integrity protection).

How this vulnerability can be exploited

This issue can be reached with physical access to the device, attack complexity is low, an attacker needs administrative privileges on the target. No user interaction is required. The scope is unchanged, so the impact stays within the vulnerable component. Rated impact: confidentiality none, integrity high, availability none.

CVSS metrics in full

The score comes from this vector: CVSS:3.1/AV:P/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N
