A path traversal vulnerability exists in mintplex-labs/anything-llm versions up to and including 1.9.1, within the AgentFlows component. The vulnerability arises from improper handling of user input in the loadFlow and deleteFlow methods in server/utils/agentFlows/index.js. Specifically, the combination of path.join and normalizePath allows attackers to bypass directory restrictions and access or delete arbitrary .json files on the server. This can lead to information disclosure, such as leaking sensitive configuration files containing API keys, or denial of service by deleting critical files like package.json. The issue is resolved in version 1.12.1.
This issue can be reached over the network, attack complexity is low, an attacker needs administrative privileges on the target. No user interaction is required. The scope is unchanged, so the impact stays within the vulnerable component. Rated impact: confidentiality high, integrity high, availability high.

CVE-2026-5627 is classified as CWE-29: Path Traversal: '\..\filename'. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that should be within a restricted directory, but it does not properly neutralize '\..\filename' (leading backslash dot dot) sequences that can resolve to a location that is outside of that directory.
CVE-2026-5627 is recorded against 1 package.
Published on 7 April 2026 and last revised on 17 June 2026. A public exploit is known to exist, which raises the urgency of patching considerably. A vendor advisory or fix has been published. Record sourced from NVD.
