🛡️ CVE-2026-9080 — curl
Description
Calling curl_easy_pause() within the event-based CURLMOPT_SOCKETFUNCTION
callback triggers a use-after-free vulnerability, where libcurl attempts to
store a flag using a dangling struct pointer immediately after that pointer's
memory has been freed.
How this vulnerability can be exploited
This issue can be reached over the network, attack complexity is low, an attacker needs no privileges on the target. No user interaction is required. The scope is unchanged, so the impact stays within the vulnerable component. Rated impact: confidentiality low, integrity low, availability low.
