Duplicate Advisory: OpenClaw: Gateway HTTP endpoints re-resolve bearer auth after SecretRef rotation
This advisory has been withdrawn because it is a duplicate of GHSA-xmxx-7p24-h892. This link is maintained to preserve external references.
OpenClaw before 2026.4.15 captures resolved bearer-auth configuration at startup, allowing revoked tokens to remain valid after SecretRef rotation. Gateway HTTP and WebSocket handlers fail to re-resolve authentication per-request, enabling attackers to use rotated-out bearer tokens for unauthorized gateway access.
This issue can be reached over the network, attack complexity is high, an attacker needs no privileges on the target. No user interaction is required. The scope is unchanged, so the impact stays within the vulnerable component. Rated impact: confidentiality high, integrity high, availability high.
GHSA-m8wm-r5vq-qjpg is classified as CWE-672: Operation on a Resource after Expiration or Release. A resource is used after it has been released or has expired.
GHSA-m8wm-r5vq-qjpg is recorded against 1 package.
Published on 6 May 2026 and last revised on 11 May 2026. No public exploit is currently recorded for this entry. Record sourced from OSV.
