kernel security update
The Linux Kernel, the operating system core itself.
Security Fix(es):
A flaw found in the Linux Kernel. The missing check causes a type confusion when issuing a list_entry()
on an empty report_list. The problem is caused by the assumption that the device must have valid report_list. While this will be true for all normal HID devices, a suitably malicious device can violate the assumption.

In nf_tables_updtable, if nf_tables_table_enable returns an error, nft_trans_destroy is called to free the transaction object. nft_trans_destroy() calls list_del(), but the transaction was never placed on a list -- the list head is all zeroes, this results in a NULL pointer dereference.(CVE-2023-1095)
This issue can be reached with physical access to the device, attack complexity is high, an attacker needs low-level privileges on the target. No user interaction is required. The scope is unchanged, so the impact stays within the vulnerable component. Rated impact: confidentiality high, integrity high, availability high.
