TrueConf Client downloads application update code and applies it without performing verification. An attacker who is able to influence the update delivery path can substitute a tampered update payload. If the payload is executed or installed by the updater, this may result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the updating process or user.
This issue can be reached from an adjacent network, attack complexity is low, an attacker needs administrative privileges on the target. A user must be tricked into taking some action. The scope is changed, meaning a successful attack can affect components beyond the vulnerable one. Rated impact: confidentiality high, integrity high, availability low.
